“App Waze introduced in class. Is an excellent app for seniors. It is simple to use—the navigation included is very good and easy to use. I traveled over 600 miles and used it over a 5-day period. I enjoyed it because I was alone and felt like I had help on board. Thank you for the Senior apps.”
For many older adults, driving long distances alone can be daunting. But with the right digital tools and training, technology can offer reassurance and independence. By learning how to use Waze, this participant gained not only practical navigation skills but also peace of mind.
The NC Digital Futures Program continues to empower individuals of all ages by teaching accessible, everyday digital skills. From setting up smartphones to using voice assistants and navigating with GPS, our educators are helping seniors build confidence in a connected world.
