Through this portal we hope to both inspire you and learn from you about cultivating vibrant communities in North Carolina. This portal houses a gallery of information on the Community and Economic Development Programs of the N.C. Cooperative Extension Service and its partners.  We offer a variety of training programs, fact sheets on important topics, and other useful learning tools to enhance the ability of the citizens of our state to tackle even the toughest issues facing their communities.

On this page in the center NEWS section you will find frequent updates that talk about events or the work of your county agents and specialists that impact community and economic development across the state. Along the top menus there are 3 main sections to our content: Local Economic Development Programs, Community Engagement Programs, and Programs for Local Government and Nonprofits . In these sections you will find information and links that tell more about the community development resources from NC State, with links to those offered by NC A&T State University, our state Extension partner. Along the left sidebar there are links to other NC State programs that may be useful connections as you seek to make your communities stronger.
