Supervisory Training Workshop for Spanish-speaking workers

Flyer inviting farms to register employees about the Supervisory training workshop for Spanish-speaking employees

How often have you caught yourself thinking, “If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself”? For many business owners, that thought comes up more often than they would like to admit.

Balancing leadership and day-to-day operations can be challenging. Strong supervision is essential, not only for keeping operations running smoothly, but also for reducing stress, improving communication, and addressing challenges that arise throughout the season.

To support agricultural operations in building stronger leadership teams, a Supervisory Training Workshop will be held on Thursday, April 16 at the Wilson Agricultural Center (1806 Goldsboro St., Wilson, NC 27893) beginning at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The workshop will be led by Dr. Eduardo Beltranena from NC State University.

This training is designed for operations that employ Spanish-speaking workers who currently perform, or are preparing to take on, management and leadership responsibilities. Whether participants are new to supervision or have years of experience, the workshop will help strengthen skills and build a solid foundation for effective leadership on the farm.

Why invest in supervisory training?

Stronger leadership leads to better team performance.
Trained supervisors are better equipped to motivate employees, delegate tasks, and provide effective coaching—resulting in improved productivity and morale.

Reduced employee turnover.
Poor supervision is one of the leading reasons employees leave. Training helps supervisors communicate clearly, manage conflict, and create a more supportive work environment.

More consistent decision-making.
Training aligns supervisors with operational goals, values, and procedures, leading to fair and consistent decision-making across teams.

If you have team members who would benefit from building confidence or strengthening their leadership foundation, this workshop can be a valuable investment in your operation.

Registration is free. To reserve your spot, please register for the Supervisory Training Workshop for Spanish-speaking Workers.

Additionally, Dr. Beltranena will be offering this workshop in Virginia on May 6th at 434 East Main Street, Waverly, Va, 23890. Registration is included below as well, choose the appropriate location and date for your team attend.
