A Community and Economic Development Program

Our Vision

In North Carolina, every individual on a farm, in a household, and in business will have the digital skills necessary to EARN, LEARN, BE WELL and LIVE WELL.

These N.C. Cooperative Extension Agents are enhancing digital skills across different counties in North Carolina.  The agents incorporate digital education into existing programs on health, nutrition, agriculture, and community development. They foster partnerships with local organizations, libraries, senior centers, and community groups to deliver workshops, classes, and one-on-one sessions. Key areas of focus include improving basic computer and smartphone skills, promoting online safety, and leveraging digital tools for health and wellness. These efforts aim to bridge the digital divide, enhance quality of life, and support economic development within their communities.  The catalyst for this work is a grant from the NC Department of Information Technology, Division of Broadband and Digital Opportunity.
