Free Virtual Pesticide Safety Preparation Courses for Spanish-Speaking Private Pesticide Applicators

Spanish-speaking agricultural workers in North Carolina have a unique opportunity to strengthen their knowledge of pesticide safety and obtain their private pesticide applicator certification through a series of 10 free virtual workshops. These workshops, hosted by NC State Extension Farm Safety & Health and NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, are designed to provide an engaging and dynamic education to help Spanish-speaking applicators prepare for the Private Pesticide Applicator Exam in Spanish.

A Course Tailored for Spanish-Speaking Farmworkers

Pesticide application is a crucial part of modern agriculture, but it comes with risks. Without proper training, farmworkers may be exposed to harmful chemicals that can affect their health and the environment. This program is specifically designed for Spanish-speaking workers, ensuring they receive clear, culturally relevant instruction in their native language following the NC Pesticide Core Manual to prepare students for the Private Pesticide Applicator Exam.
