Brightspeed Supports NC Work From Anywhere Scholarships

NC Work From Anywhere helps North Carolina residents build the skills needed to pursue remote and hybrid work opportunities while staying connected to the communities they call home.

Through a partnership with NC State Extension, Brightspeed Fiber Internet is supporting scholarships for eligible residents in Brightspeed-enabled counties across North Carolina. This support is designed to make the program more accessible for individuals who are ready to strengthen their digital skills, explore new career paths, and prepare for today’s flexible workforce.

The program combines online coursework with interactive virtual workshops and focuses on the practical skills needed to succeed in a remote work environment, including digital communication, productivity, teamwork, critical thinking, and remote job development.

At Brightspeed, we believe reliable internet is one of the basics people need to fully participate in today’s digital world. It supports how people learn, work, connect, and grow. By expanding access to high-speed fiber internet and supporting programs like NC Work From Anywhere, Brightspeed is helping advance digital access and economic mobility in communities across the state.

Scholarship opportunities may be available for eligible residents in Brightspeed-enabled counties.

Brightspeed scholarships are available in the following North Carolina Counties:

Beaufort, Bertie, Carteret, Columbus, Craven, Cumberland, Currituck, Dare, Duplin, Edgecombe, Halifax, Harnett, Hertford, Johnston, Lenoir, Nash, Onslow, Pasquotank, Pitt, Sampson, and Wilson Counties, as well as Caswell, Davie, Granville, Guilford, Person, and Randolph Counties
